Mrs Tinning

Hello, I am Mrs Tinning, and I am the Welfare Officer at Brook Infant School and Nursery.

My role includes looking after the welfare of the children, from liaison with parents and school nurses, to providing advice on welfare issues and of course, looking after poorly children while at school.

School Nurses

We work closely with our School Nurses, who are employed by West Sussex Primary Care Trust. They visit the school regularly where they carry out screening on all Reception children including height, weight and hearing checks. They are also available to see other children on parental request.

Measles

Public Health England have issued information for parents regarding Measles. If you have any concerns about your child please seek medical advice.

Head Lice

Head lice are a common problem, particularly in school children aged 4-11 years. As you know head lice can be effectively treated with medicated lotions or by wet combing using a specially designed head lice comb. Further advice on detection and treatment can be found at on the link below
